We can source material through our suppliers and local contacts. We also keep a selection of roll ends; depending on the amount available, one may be just right for your project.

Your own fabric is welcome
If you haven’t bought it yet, speak to us first so we can discuss its suitability and how much you’ll need. If you already have it, send us the supplier’s details and any information about the material.
Fabric for seating needs to withstand fitting and everyday use. Material intended for other purposes may not be strong enough to work with or may wear too quickly. Choosing upholstery fabric still leaves plenty of scope for colour, texture and pattern.
We’ll also discuss the material’s fire-safety suitability and whether specialist treatment needs to be arranged before fitting. Please check with us before buying.

How much fabric will I need?
Send photographs of the furniture, the number of pieces and details of the fabric you have in mind. John can often give an initial estimate from these; sometimes a closer look or a visit is useful.
Could a roll end suit my project?
It may do, depending on the piece, the fabric and the amount available. Tell us what you are recovering and we can discuss the current selection.
Can I keep a traditional look?
Yes. We can discuss a fabric and finish that suit the character of the furniture, as well as options for a different look.
What if my furniture currently has a leather covering?
Ask us whether a suitable high-quality vinyl, sometimes called faux leather, would work for your furniture.
