Visits, drop-offs and collection
Please call before visiting so we can arrange a suitable time. We’ll give you the workshop address by phone, email or text.
If you can bring your furniture to us, an arranged drop-off can help the work move along more quickly — especially for cushions, seat pads and other small items.
John also offers collection and home or site visits by arrangement. We work across Teesside and surrounding areas, and welcome enquiries from further afield. What we can arrange depends on the distance and the size of the job.

John can often estimate fabric requirements and approximate labour costs from your photographs. We’ll let you know if a closer look or a visit would help.
We’ll discuss fabric, current availability and arrangements for the work. Timing depends on the job and material availability.

A few common questions
Can I ask about just one cushion?
Yes. Smaller jobs are welcome, including foam replacement, renewed padding and recovering an individual cushion.
Do I need to have chosen my fabric?
No. We can help you explore fabric books, roll ends and suppliers. If you plan to buy your own fabric, talk to us first about suitability and the amount needed.
Can you look at furniture that is already broken?
Describe the problem and send photographs where possible. We can assess issues such as damaged springs, webbing or parts of a wooden frame alongside recovering work.
Can I discuss seating for a business?
Yes. Tell us about the number and type of seats, any fitted benches and the work you have in mind.
